Caprice Classic Sedans could have Base, Brougham or Brougham LS Trim. Standard equipment now included Tinted Glass, a Remote Control Driver's Mirror (Manual on the Passenger Side), Automatic Headlamp ON/OFF, and an AM/FM Stereo Radio with Built-In-Clock.
Base Engine for Sedans remained the 262 cu. in. (4.3-litter) V-6,
with 305 cu. in. (5.0-litter) V-8 optional.
Under the Classic Hood was a 307 cu. in. (5.0-litter) V-8. Four-Speed Overdrive Automatic was Standard on all models.
